Parish Questionnaire – as promised the Parish questionnaire is now available – please complete online (www.applebymagnaparishcouncil.co.uk); a copy of the questionnaire has been included with each copy of the Parish Newsline – if you can’t complete online please use the hard copy and drop into the box provided in the Church – there is a prize draw and the winner will receive an afternoon tea hamper. This is your opportunity to have your say. Please take the time to complete the questionnaire – it is your opportunity to put your thoughts and ideas to the Council. We will publish the results in January 2021.
We have set up for Terracycle funding, so the public can easily help the environment and improve the local area at the same time, all for free and from the comfort of your own home – please refer:

Dog waste – the Parish Council has arranged for a dog warden to patrol the village – the problem of dog waste is a H&S issue and is not acceptable.
The Post Card system (we are working with LCC to inform householders that their hedges/trees are causing problems on the walkways and highways) – is working well, if you receive a card, please respond accordingly.
HS2 are running virtual workshops - if you would like more information or have any questions on HS2, please contact the County Council HS2 Service Area at HS2@leics.gov.uk
Appleby Allotments –all allotments have been taken, but if you are interested in joining a waiting list please contact Cllr Andy Whitehurst on 07771942153.
The Parish Council is completing an application for Mercia Junction 11 funding towards outdoor gym equipment – watch this space for more news.
The Christmas tree should be displayed in the Parish soon, this will brighten up the environment during these difficult times.
The Parish planters have been re-planted to give some colour during drab winter days.
